You’re Not Lost — You Just Need a Guide

If you’ve ever stared at your QBO file wondering if you’re doing it right and if this foreign language will ever make sense, you’re not alone. Most small business owners and solopreneurs don’t start their business to become bookkeepers — you’re a kick ass brand manager, right? Not a bookkeeper! Alas, the numbers are still there, waiting for attention... they’re so needy that way 😉 Sometimes, it feels like you’re wandering in circles trying to figure it out.

That’s where I come in. I’m Breanne — your Accounting Sherpa. I’ve spent over 20 years in the accounting world, starting out in public accounting as an auditor, then making the leap to “industry” (shorthand for moving from public accounting into in-house accounting roles), working as a consultant, and eventually running my own business — and a few others along the way. I’ve seen firsthand the frustration, overwhelm, and second-guessing that business owners face when they’re managing their own books without the right guidance.

Why I Started This
So many of you are capable of keeping your own books. You don’t need to hire a bookkeeper or think about outsourcing your accounting just yet, you’ve got other plans for those funds for now. But what you could use is a guide — someone to point you in the right direction when you’re stuck, explain things in plain English, and just walk alongside you when the path feels confusing and you’d like the comfort in knowing you have some company.

That’s the purpose of Your Accounting Sherpa. It’s not about throwing more jargon at you. It’s about offering clarity, confidence, and practical steps that make sense for how you actually run your business.

What You Can Expect In This Space

  • QuickBooks Online tips that actually make sense.

  • Simple explanations for accounting concepts that tend to trip people up.

  • Tools, checklists, and resources you can put to work right away.

  • Encouragement for the moments when you feel like giving up on the numbers. I promise you’ve got this!

The Journey Ahead
This isn’t about perfection — it’s about progress. And you don’t have to walk this road alone. Think of me as the guide who’s carried the map before, helping you avoid the detours and get where you want to go.
